OVERVIEW
It's Always At Night follow Jade LeMac as she embraces the emotions that surface when the world grows quiet. The EP explores what it means to feel everything more intensely after dark, whether it's desire, fear, heartbreak, or longing.
Drawing on influences from Frank Ocean, Lorde, Gracie Abrams, or FINNEAS, she blends airy pop with diaristic songwriting, marked by layered vocals and a sense of late-night vulnerability. The result is a sound both personal and relatable as she translates nighttime introspection into music.
PRODUCTION
Co-produced with JVP (Jason van Poederooyen) and recorded at The Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, the EP builds its atmosphere on ambient pop textures, glowing synths, and layered vocal work. The sound in nocturnal and immersive, switching between feel-good pop, acoustic moments, and darker electronic touches.
Throughout, Jade's voice becomes an instrument itself with stacks of whispers, cries, and distorted layers creating emotional depth. A choir composed of friends and family members appears on some tracks, adding a human warmth that complements the EP's intimate quality.
THEMES
UNWAVERING DEVOTION
On Running Home, Heaven's Sake, and Pink Balloon, Jade explores a love marked by total commitment: the willingness to stay, to give everything, to carry devotion through uncertainty. Those tracks portray love as something deep, steady, and all-in.

STANDOUT TRACKS
SLEEPING WITH THE LIGHTS ON
A haunting track built on guitar, drums, and layered vocals. Jade explores the fear of losing someone and the darkness that makes those thoughts spiral. The emotional weight peaks in a compelling bridge, while the outro, distorted and almost spoken, unfolds like a poem.
